Hello, my name is Sarah Wasinger and I am one of the assistant principals here at MES. This is my 16th year in education and my 6th year in the Weld RE-5J School District. This will be my first year as an administrator and I could not be more excited to serve and support our students, families, and teachers in this role. I have taught a variety of subjects in grades K-7 in a number of schools in Colorado. Most recently, I was a 6th grade math teacher at Milliken Middle School. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a master’s degree in Educational Leadsership.
I grew up in a small town in eastern Colorado and have lived in this beautiful state my whole life. My husband, Lane, and I have been married for almost 9 years and we moved to Milliken in 2017. Lane is also a teacher and the head football coach at Roosevelt High School. My number one job is being a mom two my two young boys. We love the Johnstown-Milliken community and enjoy attending sporting events, community events and supporting our local businesses. Outside of school I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy doing workouts on my Peloton, reading, being outside, all things sports, traveling, board games, a good Netflix binge, and trying new places to eat!
MES is a special place to be and it’s an honor to work with students, families and teachers in our amazing community.
