Our Vision for Weld RE-5J Students
Weld RE-5J School district, together with our community and stakeholders, nurtures all children to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally in a safe and challenging learning environment.
Our Vision is to collaborate to support and teach the social, emotional, academic, career, and communication skills essential in the preparation and transformation of a well-developed student into a well-developed citizen.
- Instructional Excellence will be achieved through a growth mindset that fosters the students’ ability to think creatively, collaborate, and communicate, demonstrating their learning in meaningful ways through authentic interaction/engagement with a focus on lifelong learning.
- Collective Efficacy will be achieved through developing trusting and caring relationships within the whole school community to promote civic engagement.
- Family, School, and Community Partnerships will be achieved through maintaining a welcoming and safe environment within a culture of inclusion and respect that celebrates diversity.
Our Goals
To ensure the future we envision for our students, our goals are to:
- Share stories of success that align with our vision and shine a positive light on our students and schools.
- Cultivate a collaborative culture among board, leadership, buildings, staff, students, and parents.
- Align curriculum, instruction, and professional development.
- Conduct continuous improvement conversations based on assessments and evaluations that allow us to take stock of what is effective / ineffective.
- Energize and engage our entire community in becoming an active part of the education process
- Communicate with stakeholders about how they can support us.

Priority Area: Accountability for Student Success
- The Board of Education utilizes benchmark data to set educational goals for Weld RE-5J schools.
- District leadership directs K-12 instructional practices.
Priority Area: Community Engagement
- The Board of Education strives to increase the visibility and accessibility of the school board.
- All Board of Education members will visit every school at least once per school year.
